Well I guess that’s a bonus for the guy who just bought my old Focus with the busted cat converter....
My personal thoughts are “ what a goddamn dipshit” because as a human being I quite enjoy breathing and I’ve seen the state of places with no vehicle emissions regulations.

Yeah I just read up on it and it doesn’t seem like quite such a retrograde step as it did at first glance (program getting less use and other provinces cutting theirs too) .
That said after nixxing the cap and trade system at a cost of billions I’m inclined to think it's more an idealogical anti environment boner move than a rational policy decision.

That seems like a bit of a bad call. I do think that assuming the tech actually works the mobile roadside sensor approach seems like a vast improvement vs. requiring an inspection.
